STAN MARKOTICH
Currently a professor at the Department of History and Literature at Simon Fraser University (SFU), Stan received his Ph.D in physics at Indiana University. He has served as a professor at both highly-ranked Middlebury College and at Indiana University. Stan has published numerous works in English literature and learning. His diverse experience includes work as a United States war correspondent and as a lecturer for the United States Air Force curriculum. His extensive academic experience has led him to publish over a hundred academic papers.
WM. ALAN PEZZUTO
Mr. Pezzuto has been in the Film, Television and New Media industry for over 50 years. He has held virtually every position in filmmaking from Camera assistant to Producer.
Having worked on projects ranging from “The Deep’ and several of the JAMES BOND franchises, through National Geographic, and a number of network programs he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the school. As a member of several industry Guilds and Unions Mr. Pezzuto’s belief in “On the Job Training” (OJT) and the value of hands-on training rather than pure classroom and theory, make this program both unique and rewarding. As a member of test groups for both SONY and ARRIFLEX he is familiar with and has been involved with development of the most cutting edge of equipment, thereby being able to give you both a film and digital experience.
Currently Mr. Pezzuto has a development deal with Fevre’ River Packet Co., George R.R. Martins Development company (Game of thrones, House of The dragon).
ANNE AYECHET
Fluently bilingual in English and French, Anne brings to the classroom a wealth of both academic and industry experience. With master’s degrees in Management (University of Guelph) and International Business & Marketing (University of Manitoba), she has worked as an instructor and department head for classes in French language, business management, and digital marketing. Anne’s industry experience has included work as a licensed wealth strategist, senior digital project manager, and SEO specialist and account manager. Certifications in neuroscience, neuromarketing, and IT skills including WordPress/HTML and CSS round out the background that enriches her students’ classroom experience.
AKHTAR SHAH
Mr. Akhtar Shah is a prominent figure in the field of law, known for his contributions to justice, diplomacy, commerce, and international relations. He holds a Masters of Laws, LLM, LL.B, and B.A. Akhtar commenced legal career in the Supreme Court of Pakistan where he honed negotiation, strategic planning, and management skills. His influence has extended to international legal matters where he is recognized as a bridge-builder and facilitator of understanding as Chair of the Global Economic Development Institute (Pakistan-Asia-Pacific-Region). Playing a pivotal role in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Akhtar provided expert legal coverage and advice to investors and corporations interested in CPEC opportunities. He has also established extensive socio- political and economic networks in Canada and Pakistan.
